Short CV

Bertille James is a research assistant at the Chair of Modern History and a PhD student at LMU in Modern and Contemporary History. Originally from France, she holds a Master’s Degree in History of International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is also a graduate of Sciences Po Lyon and the École normale supérieure de Lyon in the field of International Affairs and East Asian studies. She spent one year in Shanghai, China, where she studied Mandarin Chinese. Her dissertation project focuses on the relationship between Western Europe and the People’s Republic of China in the eighties.
