Short CV

David Irion is a researcher in the DFG Research Group "Cooperation and Competition in the Sciences" affiliated with the Chair of Modern History since January 2021. His PhD thesis is being supervised by Kiran Klaus Patel and deals with the origins and development of European research policy based on the history of the Framework Programmes of the European Union. After completing his undergraduate studies in history and law at the LMU, he was a visiting student at the University of Edinburgh for an academic year as part of his Master of Modern History at the LMU.
